Installation tutorial for insect netsin rural courtyards
Every spring is the time to enjoy nature. With a small courtyard at home, one can enjoy tea, chat and look after children outdoors. However, the willow and poplar catkins in spring are unbearable, so one can only stay indoors, with adults watching mobile phones and children watching TV. After much thought, I decided to install a mesh screen at home during the May Day holiday to cover the yard. In spring, it can keep out the catkins from poplars and willows, and in summer, it can prevent flies and mosquitoes. Then the children can play freely in the yard. Here is a summary of some experience, along with the prices for your reference.
Insect-proof net: Purchase the appropriate size based on the size of your yard. The width ranges from 1 meter to 7 meters, and the length can reach 100 meters, which can cover most of your yard. My yard is 5.5 by 11 meters. As the height of the sag was taken into account, I bought a 7 by 15 meter integrated one, which can fully cover the yard.
2. Greenhouse slot retaining spring: It can fix the insect-proof net to the wall or the edge of the yard. Installation and disassembly are very convenient. I bought 40 meters.
3. Other tools: Grape trellis fastener (13), 3mm steel wire rope (27), cannon nail gun and nails (30), 6.24-meter square steel.
Installation method: Firstly, fix the steel wire rope with a gun nail to form a grid pattern to prevent the net from sagging, and then tighten the steel wire rope with a fastener. Secondly, fix the slots on the four sides. Finally, lay the insect-proof net and fix it in the slot.
Anti insect nets come in 60-mesh and 80-mesh sizes. The larger the mesh, the smaller the holes. The prices are more or less the same. Based on my experience, 60-mesh insect netsare sufficient and do not block the wind, while 80-mesh anti insect nets are fine and can prevent even smaller insects. Purchase according to your own needs.
Finally, let's talk about the usage effect. The willow and poplar catkins are basically gone (the very fine ones still get in), and flies are basically eliminated. We'll have to wait until summer to see the effect of mosquitoes.
