Bird-proofanti insect net a it is designed to protect plants and trees from birds, and may be useful for certain animals, but insects pass through wide meshes. Bird nets are not exactly the same, they have different mesh sizes, colors and structures. So, what do we look for when looking for a good bird net?
The net mesh size is important. If the mesh is too large, the birds may get their heads stuck on the insect netting . Killing native birds in the Gardenning is never a good thing. Choosing a mesh size that hardly fits your fingers is safe for birds.
The color of the netting mesh is also a key consideration. The white mesh is very eye-catching. It is obvious to birds and prevents them from accidentally flying into it and tangling or injuring themselves. Black nets are almost invisible in some cases, causing unnecessary harm to birds.
The structure of the mesh net determines how long the net will last and how effective it is as a barrier. The woven mesh is soft and difficult to penetrate. Very sharp scissors will cut it, but unsharp scissors will cut it hard. I know from experience that woven nets are more expensive than extruded nets, but have a longer service life. Birds do not chew on woven nets.
